Dehradun Police Files FIR Against NHAI, PWD Over Unsafe Construction

Dehradun Police has registered an FIR against the NHAI and the PWD following a recent accident that claimed four lives. Officials stated that over 10 accidents have occurred on the Asharodi-Mohabbewala stretch in the past six months. The complaint highlights the agencies' failure to ensure safe traffic flow and the continuous threat posed by unsafe construction. A lack of essential safety infrastructure, including signboards, reflectors, and adequate lighting, along with potholes, contributes to the high frequency of accidents on this stretch.

हाल ही में हुई एक दुर्घटना में चार लोगों की जान जाने के बाद देहरादून पुलिस ने NHAI और PWD के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज की है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पिछले छह महीनों में अशारोडी-मोहब्बेवाला खंड पर 10 से ज़्यादा दुर्घटनाएं हुई हैं। शिकायत में एजेंसियों की सुरक्षित यातायात प्रवाह सुनिश्चित करने में विफलता और असुरक्षित निर्माण से लगातार मंडरा रहे खतरे पर प्रकाश डाला गया है। इस खंड पर दुर्घटनाओं की उच्च आवृत्ति में साइनबोर्ड, रिफ्लेक्टर और पर्याप्त रोशनी सहित आवश्यक सुरक्षा बुनियादी ढांचे की कमी, साथ ही गड्ढों का योगदान है।
