Kolkata Metro's Beleghata-Sector V stretch to open by Dec-Jan

The Beleghata-Sector V stretch of Kolkata's New Garia-Airport Metro line is slated for completion by the end of December or the first week of January, according to Metro Railway General Manager Prem Sagar Gupta. Trial runs for the Communication Based Train Control system are currently underway and expected to continue through November. Following successful trials and inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety, passenger services will commence. This 4.5-km extension will add three new stations: Gour Kishore Ghosh, Nalban, and Sector V, significantly improving connectivity for commuters.

मेट्रो रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक प्रेम सागर गुप्ता के अनुसार, कोलकाता की न्यू गरिया-एयरपोर्ट मेट्रो लाइन का बेलेघाटा-सेक्टर V खंड दिसंबर के अंत या जनवरी के पहले सप्ताह तक पूरा होने वाला है। कम्युनिकेशन बेस्ड ट्रेन कंट्रोल सिस्टम के लिए ट्रायल रन अभी चल रहे हैं और नवंबर तक जारी रहने की उम्मीद है। रेलवे सुरक्षा आयुक्त द्वारा सफल ट्रायल और निरीक्षण के बाद, यात्री सेवाएं शुरू हो जाएंगी। यह 4.5 किमी का विस्तार तीन नए स्टेशन जोड़ेगा: गौर किशोर घोष, नलवन और सेक्टर V, जिससे यात्रियों के लिए कनेक्टिविटी में काफी सुधार होगा।
