Dasara Rush Causes Ticket Scarcity For Train and Bus Passengers in Vizag

Times of India · india

Visakhapatnam is experiencing a significant rush for train and bus tickets as the Dasara holidays approach, with many passengers struggling to secure confirmed travel. Popular routes to Howrah, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad show long waiting lists or 'regret' status due to the festival coinciding with a weekend. To manage the demand, APSRTC is operating over 400 special bus services, while South Coast Railway and South Central Railway have introduced numerous special trains and additional coaches. High airfares are pushing travelers towards trains and buses, exacerbating the booking challenges.
