Kerala Chief Minister Urged to Halt KSSM Staff Redeployment

The Hindu · india

The Senior Citizens Friends’ Welfare Association has appealed to Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan to reverse a decision to redeploy staff from the Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM). The association warns that this move will disrupt crucial welfare services, including schemes worth ₹250 crore annually benefiting 5.5 lakh individuals. These services support the elderly, differently-abled, destitute women, and Endosulfan survivors. The association suggests strengthening the KSSM with new appointments or staff from other departments instead.
