217 Newborns Receive Gold Rings In Trichy

The state government's 'Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram' scheme was launched in Trichy on Monday, with 217 newborns receiving gold rings at government hospitals. Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board chairman Ku Pa Krishnan and district collector Prateek Dayal presented the rings at MGMGH. A total of 3,341 children born in Trichy government hospitals between June 22 and September 27 are eligible for this benefit. The scheme aims to provide a gold ring to newborns born in government facilities.
