Four-Hour Blaze Destroys Jamshedpur LIC Office

A significant fire erupted on the fourth floor of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) building in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, early Sunday morning. The blaze raged for nearly four hours before being controlled by eight fire tenders, causing damage estimated to be in lakhs of rupees. While no casualties were reported, over 40 air conditioners, 150 computers, 20 laptops, furniture, and important documents were destroyed. A short circuit is suspected as the cause, though investigations are ongoing.

रविवार सुबह जमशेदपुर के बिष्टुपुर में Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) बिल्डिंग की चौथी मंजिल पर भीषण आग लग गई। आठ फायर टेंडरों की मदद से करीब चार घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया गया, जिसमें लाखों रुपये के नुकसान का अनुमान है। किसी के हताहत होने की खबर नहीं है, लेकिन 40 से ज़्यादा एयर कंडीशनर, 150 कंप्यूटर, 20 लैपटॉप, फर्नीचर और ज़रूरी कागज़ात जलकर खाक हो गए। शॉर्ट सर्किट को आग लगने का कारण माना जा रहा है, हालांकि जांच जारी है।
