Delhi-NCR Air Quality Dips Dangerously Before Diwali; Strict Restrictions Imposed

Air quality in Delhi-NCR has reached life-threatening levels even before Diwali, with the AQI exceeding 500 in many areas. To combat the severe pollution, the CAQM has enforced strict restrictions. These include a complete ban on dust-generating construction and demolition activities in NCR. Additionally, government and private offices in six districts, including Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida, have been directed to have 50% of employees work from home. Doctors are advising vulnerable groups to take extra precautions.

दिवाली से पहले दिल्ली-एनसीआर में हवा की गुणवत्ता जानलेवा स्तर पर पहुंच गई है, कई इलाकों में AQI 500 के पार चला गया है। इस गंभीर प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए CAQM ने सख्त पाबंदियां लागू की हैं। इसमें NCR में धूल पैदा करने वाली निर्माण और विध्वंस गतिविधियों पर पूरी तरह रोक शामिल है। इसके अलावा, दिल्ली, गुरुग्राम और नोएडा सहित छह जिलों में सरकारी और निजी दफ्तरों को 50% कर्मचारियों को घर से काम करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। डॉक्टर कमजोर समूहों को अतिरिक्त सावधानी बरतने की सलाह दे रहे हैं।
