Sarfaraz, originally from Jammu and Kashmir, has transformed his family's financial situation through a successful dry fruit and local product business. After struggling with low earnings from farming and labor, he was inspired to enter the dry fruit trade and has been operating stalls at national craft fairs for the past five years. He now sells a variety of products, including saffron, walnut oil, apricot oil, and even Ladakh's Shilajit, at events like the one in Bokaro.
