Rs 415 Crore Bogus Donation Racket Uncovered

The Income Tax department has filed a third complaint alleging a Rs 415-crore bogus political donation racket in Gujarat. The racket allegedly involved a registered unrecognised political party, its office-bearers, and a cost accountant. This network is accused of generating fake donation receipts to allow tax deductions for donors, then returning the money in cash after deducting a commission. The department estimates a potential government loss of Rs 124.5 crore from these fraudulent transactions.

आयकर विभाग ने गुजरात में 415 करोड़ रुपये के फर्जी राजनीतिक डोनेशन रैकेट के संबंध में तीसरी शिकायत दर्ज की है। इस रैकेट में कथित तौर पर एक पंजीकृत अमान्यता प्राप्त राजनीतिक दल, उसके पदाधिकारी और एक कॉस्ट अकाउंटेंट शामिल थे। इस नेटवर्क पर दानदाताओं को टैक्स छूट दिलाने के लिए फर्जी डोनेशन रसीदें बनाने और फिर कमीशन काटकर पैसा नकद वापस करने का आरोप है। विभाग का अनुमान है कि इन धोखाधड़ी वाले लेन-देन से सरकार को 124.5 करोड़ रुपये का संभावित नुकसान हुआ है।
