North Korea Fires Projectile Towards Sea, South Korea Confirms

The Hindu - International · world

South Korea's military reported on Monday that North Korea launched at least one projectile towards its eastern waters. This incident adds to a recent series of weapons demonstrations by Pyongyang. Japan also detected the launch, suspecting it to be a ballistic missile. The test follows South Korea's own successful flight-test of a domestically developed hypersonic weapon just days prior. North Korea has been intensifying its weapons testing, aiming to bolster its nuclear-capable systems amidst stalled diplomatic talks and heightened inter-Korean border tensions.
