High-level delegations from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkiye met with Iranian authorities in Tehran on Monday to de-escalate tensions and avert renewed fighting between Iran and the US. Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman and Pakistan army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir were among those attending. The talks also addressed the war in Yemen and Houthi rebel strikes against Saudi Arabia. This diplomatic effort comes amid heightened threats from Israeli and American leaders ahead of upcoming elections, while Iran remains defiant.
