Pune Police Sub-Inspector Dies By Suicide With Service Pistol

A 55-year-old police sub-inspector in Pune allegedly died by suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol at his home in Aundh on Wednesday afternoon. The officer, Nilesh Bhausaheb Patil, was reportedly suffering from a severe health condition and had been on extended leave due to it. Patil was scheduled to appear in the Bombay High Court for a hearing but could not travel due to his poor health. His family was present in the house at the time of the incident. Police have registered an accidental death report.

पुणे में 55 वर्षीय पुलिस सब-इंस्पेक्टर ने बुधवार दोपहर अपने घर औंध में सर्विस पिस्टल से खुद को गोली मारकर कथित तौर पर आत्महत्या कर ली। अधिकारी, निलेश भाऊसाहेब पाटिल, कथित तौर पर एक गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्या से पीड़ित थे और इसी वजह से लंबी छुट्टी पर थे। पाटिल को बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट में सुनवाई के लिए पेश होना था लेकिन खराब स्वास्थ्य के कारण यात्रा नहीं कर सके। घटना के समय उनका परिवार घर पर मौजूद था। पुलिस ने आकस्मिक मृत्यु की रिपोर्ट दर्ज की है।
