Nirmal Ujjwal Credit Society Faces Liquidation

The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies has initiated liquidation proceedings against Nirmal Ujjwal Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. This action follows allegations of financial irregularities and diversion of Rs 51.7 crore in funds. Thousands of depositors had complained about non-payment of fixed deposits and savings account balances. The society allegedly failed to cooperate with a forensic audit, a key ground for the liquidation notice. Objections can be submitted within 15 days, after which a liquidator may be appointed.

सहकारी समितियों के केंद्रीय रजिस्ट्रार ने निर्मल उज्ज्वल क्रेडिट कोऑपरेटिव सोसाइटी लिमिटेड के खिलाफ परिसमापन की कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी है। यह कदम वित्तीय अनियमितताओं और 51.7 करोड़ रुपये के फंड के गबन के आरोपों के बाद उठाया गया है। हजारों जमाकर्ताओं ने फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट और बचत खाते के बकाये का भुगतान न होने की शिकायत की थी। सोसाइटी कथित तौर पर फोरेंसिक ऑडिट में सहयोग करने में विफल रही, जो परिसमापन नोटिस का एक मुख्य आधार है। 15 दिनों के भीतर आपत्तियां प्रस्तुत की जा सकती हैं, जिसके बाद एक परिसमापक नियुक्त किया जा सकता है।
