Uttar Pradesh has mandated that all sweets sold in the state must display manufacturing and expiry dates. This new rule, effective, aims to combat adulteration and the sale of stale items, especially during festive seasons. While larger sweet shops are preparing to comply, smaller vendors express concerns about the feasibility of printing dates on individual packets. FSDA will monitor compliance through state-wide checks. This move is expected to increase transparency for consumers and ensure better quality control in the sweet industry.

उत्तर प्रदेश में अब बिकने वाली सभी मिठाईयों पर निर्माण और समाप्ति की तारीख छपना ज़रूरी होगा। यह नया नियम मिलावट और बासी मिठाईयों की बिक्री रोकने के लिए है, खासकर त्योहारों के समय। बड़ी मिठाई की दुकानें तो तैयार हो रही हैं, लेकिन छोटे दुकानदार हर पैकेट पर तारीख छापने को मुश्किल बता रहे हैं। FSDA पूरे राज्य में जांच करके नियमों का पालन करवाएगी। इससे ग्राहकों को ज़्यादा जानकारी मिलेगी और मिठाई की क्वालिटी भी बेहतर होगी।
