Glenn and Barbara Britt's $150 Million Gift to Dartmouth Boosts Scholarships

Times of India · education

Dartmouth College will receive over $150 million from the estates of Glenn and Barbara Britt, marking the largest bequest for scholarships in its history. This significant donation aims to make education more accessible for middle-income students by nearly doubling the family income threshold for zero parent contribution from $65,000 to $125,000. Three-quarters of the gift will fund undergraduate financial aid, with the remainder supporting scholarships at the Tuck School of Business. The new policy, effective from the 2024-25 academic year, is expected to benefit approximately 350 families annually.
