Telangana to Establish Old-Age Homes in All 33 Districts in Phased Manner

Telangana Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar announced that old-age homes will be established in all 33 districts of the state in a phased manner. These facilities will provide shelter, food, and basic amenities to elderly individuals lacking adequate family support. Currently, 10 old-age homes are operational, and 30 day-care centres are functioning across Telangana. The government is also simplifying maintenance tribunal procedures and promoting parental care among children to ensure the well-being and financial security of senior citizens.

तेलंगाना के समाज कल्याण मंत्री एडलुरी लक्ष्मण कुमार ने घोषणा की है कि राज्य के सभी 33 जिलों में चरणबद्ध तरीके से वृद्धाश्रम स्थापित किए जाएंगे। ये सुविधाएं उन बुजुर्गों को आश्रय, भोजन और बुनियादी सुविधाएं प्रदान करेंगी जिनके पास पर्याप्त पारिवारिक समर्थन नहीं है। वर्तमान में, 10 वृद्धाश्रम चालू हैं, और तेलंगाना में 30 डे-केयर सेंटर काम कर रहे हैं। सरकार वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की भलाई और वित्तीय सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए रखरखाव न्यायाधिकरण प्रक्रियाओं को भी सरल बना रही है और बच्चों के बीच माता-पिता की देखभाल को बढ़ावा दे रही है।
