Bangladesh and the United States have signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic civil nuclear cooperation to deepen ties in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The agreement was signed in New York by advisors from both countries. This pact aims to support Bangladesh's efforts to expand and diversify its long-term energy sources, building on a previous broader energy sector MoU. Both nations affirmed commitment to the highest standards of nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation, recognizing the role of nuclear energy in meeting future requirements.
