कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया (मार्क्सवादी) 6 अक्टूबर 2026 से कोझिकोड में एक विस्तारित जिला समिति की बैठक बुलाएगी। इस बैठक का उद्देश्य पिछली राज्य समिति की बैठक के दौरान सुझाए गए सुधारात्मक कदमों पर चर्चा करना और उन्हें लागू करना है। पिनाराई विजयन जैसे प्रमुख नेताओं सहित लगभग 120 पार्टी नेता इसमें भाग लेंगे। कोझिकोड में सीपीआई(एम) की हालिया चुनावी हार को देखते हुए यह बैठक विशेष रूप से महत्वपूर्ण है, जो पारंपरिक रूप से पार्टी का गढ़ रहा है। पार्टी ने जिला पंचायत और कई स्थानीय निकायों पर नियंत्रण खो दिया है, और जिले से विधानसभा में पार्टी का प्रतिनिधित्व घटकर केवल एक सीट रह गया है।
