A 104-year-old woman in Massachusetts, Dorothy Stewart, has finally received her brother Bernard Parnell's World War II dog tags, 83 years after his death in a 1943 plane crash. The identification tags were discovered among old military records at Beverly Veterans' Services after a multi-year search for his family. Parnell died when his training aircraft crashed off the Florida coast, and his body was never recovered. Stewart recalled her brother's youthful charm and his heroic act of giving a life jacket to the pilot, who was the sole survivor.
