J&K Probe Panel Finds Jal Jeevan Mission Irregularities

Observations include tap water existing only on paper, people still hiring horses for water transport, and abandoned water pipes. Overall work execution achievement stands at 37.28 percent, with many schemes in Udhampur and Poonch existing solely on paper. The report also noted a lack of credible records for water pipe procurement and utilization.

जम्मू और कश्मीर की एक विधानसभा समिति की रिपोर्ट में 13,000 करोड़ रुपये की जल जीवन मिशन योजना में बड़ी गड़बड़ियां सामने आई हैं। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, नल का पानी सिर्फ कागजों पर है, लोग अभी भी पानी लाने के लिए घोड़े इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं, और पानी की पाइपें पड़ी-पड़ी सड़ रही हैं। काम सिर्फ 37.28% ही पूरा हुआ है, और उधमपुर व पुंछ की कई योजनाएं केवल कागजों में ही हैं।
