Sonam Wangchuk Warns of Hunger Strike Over Delhi Protestor Detentions

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has strongly criticized the police action against protestors in Delhi, calling it an "undeclared emergency" in India. He expressed solidarity with the Delhi protestors and condemned the mass detentions, including those of CJP's Abhijeet Dipke. Wangchuk warned that if the detained individuals are not released by tomorrow, he will consider undertaking a hunger strike or a padyatra march. The protestors were denied permission to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar over alleged electoral irregularities and collusion between the Election Commission and the ruling BJP.

एक्टिविस्ट सोनम वांगचुक ने दिल्ली में प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ पुलिस की कार्रवाई की कड़ी आलोचना की है, इसे भारत में "अघोषित आपातकाल" बताया है। उन्होंने दिल्ली के प्रदर्शनकारियों के साथ एकजुटता व्यक्त की और CJP के अभिजीत दीपके सहित बड़े पैमाने पर हुई गिरफ्तारियों की निंदा की। वांगचुक ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि कल तक गिरफ्तार लोगों को रिहा नहीं किया गया, तो वह भूख हड़ताल या पदयात्रा करने पर विचार करेंगे। प्रदर्शनकारियों को कथित चुनावी अनियमितताओं और चुनाव आयोग तथा सत्तारूढ़ भाजपा के बीच मिलीभगत को लेकर जंतर मंतर पर प्रदर्शन करने की अनुमति नहीं दी गई थी।
