Industrial giant Siemens has cautioned against the widespread elimination of entry-level jobs due to artificial intelligence, warning that young workers may miss out on crucial foundational skills. Judith Wiese, Siemens' chief people and sustainability officer, stated that performing routine tasks is vital for gaining hands-on experience and the ability to critically assess AI-generated output. She emphasized the need for employees to understand processes themselves to avoid being misled by AI. While acknowledging AI's potential to accelerate skill acquisition, Wiese noted that its ultimate impact on employment remains uncertain.
