The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached land and buildings of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, valued at approximately Rs 1,170 crore. This action is part of a money laundering investigation against the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, and others. The ED alleges that properties worth Rs 426.46 crore represent proceeds of crime. The probe stems from allegations of illegally acquired land and diversion of public funds for the university's construction. Investigators found evidence of government resources being used for the private campus.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने रामपुर में मोहम्मद अली जौहर यूनिवर्सिटी की जमीन और इमारतों को अस्थायी रूप से कुर्क कर लिया है, जिनकी अनुमानित कीमत करीब 1,170 करोड़ रुपये है। यह कार्रवाई मौलाना मोहम्मद अली जौहर ट्रस्ट, समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान और अन्य के खिलाफ मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग की जांच का हिस्सा है। ED का आरोप है कि 426.46 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति अपराध से हुई आय का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। यह जांच अवैध रूप से अधिग्रहित भूमि और यूनिवर्सिटी के निर्माण के लिए सार्वजनिक धन के दुरुपयोग के आरोपों से उपजी है। जांचकर्ताओं को निजी परिसर के लिए सरकारी संसाधनों के उपयोग का सबूत मिला है।
