Iain Armitage, who played the young Sheldon Cooper in the hit series "Young Sheldon," expressed relief that the show concluded in 2024 after seven seasons. Now 18, Armitage stated he wouldn't want to portray an older version of the character, finding the idea of playing a 23-year-old Sheldon unappealing. He misses the crew and the acting process but is happy to pursue other opportunities and travel. Armitage, who began the role at age eight, acknowledged the show was a significant undertaking for a child actor.
