Japanese Olympic Committee chief Seiko Hashimoto acknowledged numerous problems at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, particularly concerning athlete accommodation. Athletes were housed in cramped container-style huts, hotels, and a cruise ship, lacking a traditional Athletes’ Village. Hashimoto stated that while criticism is valid, it doesn't represent the entire experience, highlighting positive aspects like good food and hospitality on the cruise ship. She believes the innovative cost-saving measures, like using a cruise ship and container housing, offer possibilities for future international competitions in various global contexts.
