Pune Traffic Chaos Worsens After Police Suspend Challans and Towing

Pune is experiencing significant traffic congestion and increased road rule violations following the traffic police's suspension of challan issuance and vehicle towing. Motorists are reportedly parking indiscriminately, riding triple-seat, and driving on the wrong side of the road. Key arterial roads like JM Road, FC Road, and Satara Road are witnessing regular jams. While the Deputy Commissioner of Police cited increased heavy vehicle movement due to festivals and infrastructure projects, commuters report longer travel times.

पुणे में ट्रैफिक पुलिस द्वारा चालान काटने और गाड़ियों को टो करने पर रोक लगाने के बाद शहर में भारी ट्रैफिक जाम लग रहा है और सड़क नियमों का उल्लंघन भी बढ़ गया है। लोग अपनी गाड़ियां कहीं भी पार्क कर रहे हैं, तीन लोग एक साथ बाइक पर चल रहे हैं और गलत साइड से गाड़ी चला रहे हैं। जेएम रोड, एफसी रोड और सतारा रोड जैसे मुख्य रास्तों पर रोज़ाना जाम लग रहा है। डिप्टी कमिश्नर ऑफ पुलिस ने त्योहारों और चल रहे इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्रोजेक्ट्स के कारण भारी वाहनों की बढ़ी हुई आवाजाही को इसका कारण बताया है, लेकिन यात्रियों का कहना है कि यात्रा का समय बढ़ गया है।
