Ashoka University co-founder Ashish Dhawan believes India and Japan can achieve tenfold economic growth in their bilateral ties over the next decade. He highlighted that geopolitical shifts, particularly Japan's move to reduce reliance on China, present a significant opportunity for India. Dhawan noted that while India and Japan are natural partners, their current economic engagement is low. He stressed the need for better implementation, stronger investment channels, and deeper cooperation in manufacturing, technology, and labour mobility to realize this potential.
