Devaswom Employees Flag Serious Lapses in Sabarimala Season Preparations
The Hindu · india
The Travancore Devaswom Employees Front has lodged a complaint with Kerala's Chief Minister and Devaswom Minister regarding significant lapses in Sabarimala pilgrimage preparations. The union suspects vested interests are attempting to tarnish the government's image through decisions causing financial losses, such as increasing expenses while cutting revenue. They highlighted that dropping 28 auction items led to a loss of over ₹10 crore and that increasing the virtual queue fee burdens pilgrims unnecessarily. Concerns were also raised about the transportation of essential goods and the need for improved security measures.
