Supreme Court Asks CBSE To Consider 3-Language Policy

The Supreme Court has urged the CBSE to consider implementing its three-language policy for Class 6 students starting from the 2027 academic session. The policy mandates the study of two native Indian languages alongside another language. The CBSE informed the court that it would review the suggestion. This comes after the court agreed to examine a plea challenging the policy, which has already been made compulsory for Class 9 students from July 1.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने CBSE से कहा है कि वह 2027 से छठी कक्षा के छात्रों के लिए तीन-भाषा नीति लागू करने पर विचार करे। इस नीति के तहत दो भारतीय भाषाएँ और एक अन्य भाषा पढ़ानी होगी। CBSE ने कोर्ट को बताया कि वे इस सुझाव की समीक्षा करेंगे। यह फैसला उस याचिका के बाद आया है जिसमें इस नीति को चुनौती दी गई है, जो पहले से ही नौवीं कक्षा के लिए अनिवार्य कर दी गई है।
