Over 100 people have fallen ill due to suspected food poisoning in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, after consuming khasta at a local fair. A total of 102 individuals, including 39 children and 63 adults, were affected. Seventeen people, 10 of whom are children, are in critical condition and have been transferred to Medical College Tiloi for advanced treatment. Authorities have registered a case against the khasta vendor and the oil supplier, and both have been arrested as investigations into the quality of ingredients continue.
