FSDA Cancels Licences of 14 Medicine Firms in Lucknow's Aminabad Market

FSDA has cancelled the drug licences of 14 establishments and suspended those of 29 others in Lucknow's Aminabad medicine market. These firms were found involved in cross-billing and the trade of fake medicines, with some circulating counterfeit drugs despite official records. An investigation in August revealed these practices, leading to nine FIRs being registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. This crackdown, which has also seen illegal medicines worth approximately Rs 41.58 lakh seized, has caused panic among local traders.

FSDA ने लखनऊ के अमीनाबाद दवा बाजार में 14 प्रतिष्ठानों के दवा लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिए हैं और 29 अन्य के लाइसेंस निलंबित कर दिए हैं। इन कंपनियों को क्रॉस-बिलिंग और नकली दवाओं के व्यापार में लिप्त पाया गया था, कुछ आधिकारिक रिकॉर्ड के बावजूद नकली दवाएं चला रही थीं। अगस्त में हुई एक जांच में इन प्रथाओं का पता चला, जिसके कारण भारतीय न्याय संहिता के तहत नौ FIR दर्ज की गईं। इस कार्रवाई में, जिसमें लगभग 41.58 लाख रुपये की अवैध दवाएं भी जब्त की गई हैं, स्थानीय व्यापारियों में दहशत फैल गई है।
