Kedarnath Dham Faces Growing Waste Crisis

Environmentalists are raising concerns over the escalating waste problem at Kedarnath Dham, warning of severe environmental threats. Anil Joshi, founder of HESCO, highlighted that daily accumulation of non-biodegradable waste, particularly plastic, poses a significant risk to soil, water, and the local ecosystem. If not managed properly, leachate from this waste can contaminate water sources and rivers, impacting the fragile Himalayan region.

केदारनाथ धाम में बढ़ते कचरे की समस्या पर पर्यावरणविदों ने चिंता जताई है। उनका कहना है कि इससे गंभीर पर्यावरणीय खतरे पैदा हो सकते हैं। HESCO के संस्थापक अनिल जोशी ने बताया कि प्लास्टिक जैसे गैर-बायोडिग्रेडेबल कचरे का रोज़ाना जमा होना मिट्टी, पानी और स्थानीय पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के लिए बड़ा खतरा है। अगर इसे ठीक से प्रबंधित नहीं किया गया, तो कचरे से निकलने वाला ज़हरीला पानी स्रोतों और नदियों को दूषित कर सकता है।
