Times of India · automobile
HDFC Bank has introduced a new electric car loan product that finances the vehicle body and battery separately. This allows borrowers to repay the battery component over a longer tenure, enabling them to customize their Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs). The loan aims to address the high upfront cost of EVs, with battery costs being a significant factor. The bank believes this innovative financing structure will make EV ownership more affordable and seamless for customers across its 9,700 branches nationwide. This initiative supports India's goal of increasing electric mobility share.
