The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mandated interoperability among Account Aggregators (AAs), allowing customers to easily share financial information across various institutions like banks and mutual funds. Depositories regulated by Sebi can now include bank fixed deposit details in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS). This move aims to enhance customer convenience by providing a single view of mutual funds, stocks, and fixed deposits. Both initiatives are scheduled for implementation by December 31, simplifying financial data management for individuals.
