अहमदाबाद में स्कूलों, सरकारी दफ्तरों और नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम सहित 19 ठिकानों को निशाना बनाकर बम से उड़ाने की नई लहर का सामना करना पड़ा। भेजे गए ईमेल की जांच में पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश से सीधे संबंध पाए गए, जिसमें रंगपुर और लाहौर से खाते संचालित होने की बात सामने आई है। यह इसी तरह की धमकी के बाद हुआ है, जिसमें पाकिस्तानी और बांग्लादेशी ऑपरेशनल लिंक का भी संकेत मिला था। जांचकर्ता इन धमकियों को भेजने के लिए इस्तेमाल किए गए हैक किए गए जीमेल खातों की बिक्री की भी जांच कर रहे हैं, ताकि पूरे नेटवर्क को खत्म किया जा सके।
