Supply Chains Thrive on People Power, Not Just Infrastructure
Hindustan Times · business
Strong supply chains are built on people, not just logistics, as demonstrated by India's dairy farmers. Millions of small-scale farmers, many of them women, are the backbone of the nation's milk production, showing resilience despite challenges. Abbott's Project Ksheersagar empowers these communities through capability-building, improving milk quality and yields, and increasing farmer incomes. The initiative has led to significant improvements in milk quality standards and farmer productivity, with over 12,000 farmers participating.
