Times of India · politics

India has formally identified 28 places and features in Ladakh on the official Survey of India map, including areas in Aksai Chin and Gilgit-Baltistan. This move aims to remove ambiguity and assert India's claim over these territories bordering China. Among the identified features are Hot Spring and Gogra, which were previously friction points. The government stated this is to facilitate accurate recognition and better public awareness. This follows a similar initiative for 27 border areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
