Shimla Officials Told To Focus On Drug Rehab

Shimla deputy commissioner Anupam Kashyap has directed officials to prioritize the rehabilitation and reintegration of drug-affected youth alongside strict enforcement against drug trafficking. During a district-level meeting, officials reported destroying 54 bighas of cannabis cultivation and registering 263 cases under the NDPS Act this year, leading to 526 arrests. Properties worth ₹12.52 crore and 9.986 kg of heroin have been seized. Fifteen panchayats have been identified as drug-sensitive areas, and de-addiction centers will be inspected regularly.

शिमला के उपायुक्त Anupam Kashyap ने अधिकारियों को नशीली दवाओं की तस्करी के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई के साथ-साथ नशे से प्रभावित युवाओं के पुनर्वास और पुनः एकीकरण को प्राथमिकता देने का निर्देश दिया है। एक जिला स्तरीय बैठक के दौरान, अधिकारियों ने इस साल 54 बीघा भांग की खेती नष्ट करने और NDPS Act के तहत 263 मामले दर्ज करने की सूचना दी, जिससे 526 गिरफ्तारियां हुईं। ₹12.52 करोड़ की संपत्ति और 9.986 किलोग्राम हेरोइन जब्त की गई है। पंद्रह पंचायतों को नशीली दवाओं के प्रति संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों के रूप में पहचाना गया है, और नशामुक्ति केंद्रों का नियमित निरीक्षण किया जाएगा।
