An 18-year-old Florida teenager has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murders of her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Julia Grace Egler, who was 16 at the time of the killings in July 2024, admitted to staging a fake home invasion. She pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder under a negotiated agreement. The judge imposed a 50-year sentence with a mandatory minimum of 25 years before parole eligibility.
