Sebi Allows Margin Relief for Early Securities Pay-in on Subsequent Trades

Market regulator Sebi has announced that clearing corporations will no longer collect margins from trading and clearing members on clients' subsequent buy or sell positions in the cash segment. This relief applies up to the value of securities for which early pay-in has been successfully accepted. The decision aims to benefit clients with a net sell obligation who have completed the early pay-in process. Clearing corporations will now calculate available early pay-in value on the trade date, adjusting margins accordingly.
