Jamia University Walls Defaced With 'Free Kashmir' Slogans; Police Deployed

Controversial slogans, including 'Free Kashmir' and 'Free Sharjeel Imam', appeared on the walls of Jamia Millia Islamia University during student protests for the restoration of student union elections. Other slogans targeted the RSS, ABVP, and the university's Vice-Chancellor. The slogans were later removed, and police were deployed to the campus. Congress MP Imran Masood condemned the slogans, stating Kashmir is an integral part of India and demanding action against those responsible for posting them.

जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया यूनिवर्सिटी की दीवारों पर छात्र संघ चुनावों की बहाली के लिए छात्र विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान 'फ्री कश्मीर' और 'फ्री शरजील इमाम' जैसे विवादास्पद नारे लिखे गए। अन्य नारों में RSS, ABVP और विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति को निशाना बनाया गया। बाद में इन नारों को हटा दिया गया और परिसर में पुलिस तैनात कर दी गई। कांग्रेस सांसद इमरान मसूद ने इन नारों की निंदा करते हुए कहा कि कश्मीर भारत का अभिन्न अंग है और इन्हें पोस्ट करने वालों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की।
