Delhi is installing special grass grid pavers on its footpaths and walking trails. These concrete or recycled plastic blocks have large open cells that are filled with soil and planted with grass. This eco-friendly paving system allows rainwater to seep directly into the ground, preventing waterlogging and soil erosion. The grass also helps keep the blocks cool, making them comfortable to walk on even in hot weather. This initiative aims to manage mud and water overflow effectively in urban areas.

दिल्ली अपनी फुटपाथों और पैदल रास्तों पर खास घास ग्रिड पेवर लगा रही है। ये कंक्रीट या रीसाइकल प्लास्टिक के ब्लॉक बड़े खुले सेल वाले होते हैं जिनमें मिट्टी भरकर घास लगाई जाती है। यह इको-फ्रेंडली पेविंग सिस्टम बारिश के पानी को सीधे ज़मीन में रिसने देता है, जिससे जलभराव और मिट्टी का कटाव रुकता है। घास इन ब्लॉकों को ठंडा रखने में भी मदद करती है, जिससे गर्म मौसम में भी इन पर चलना आरामदायक होता है। इस पहल का मकसद शहरी इलाकों में कीचड़ और पानी के ओवरफ्लो को प्रभावी ढंग से संभालना है।
