Shiromani Akali Dal के अध्यक्ष Sukhbir Singh Badal ने ऐलान किया है कि अगर उनकी पार्टी Assembly चुनाव जीतती है, तो उनकी सरकार औद्योगिक बिजली ₹5 प्रति यूनिट पर देगी। उन्होंने यह भी वादा किया कि 'Build Punjab' नाम का एक विभाग बनाया जाएगा ताकि बिल्डरों को एक महीने के अंदर समयबद्ध मंजूरी मिल सके। Badal ने मौजूदा ₹10-12 प्रति यूनिट बिजली दरों की आलोचना की और कहा कि उद्योगपति सोलर पावर प्लांट लगाकर लागत और कम कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने ड्रग तस्करों के खिलाफ सख्त कानून बनाने का भी वादा किया, जिसमें दस साल तक जमानत न मिलना और संपत्ति जब्त करना शामिल है।
