Russian President Vladimir Putin has informed US President Donald Trump that immediate peace talks with Ukraine are unlikely. Putin cited recent Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow and polling stations during parliamentary elections as the reason for interrupting the negotiation process. Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov stated that Russia will now assess when trilateral talks can resume. This comes as US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the war as a dangerous stalemate, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had expressed readiness for talks this month.
