Nigeria's Health Ministry has confirmed its first known case of Ebola in the current outbreak, detected in the capital city of Abuja. The patient is a woman who recently arrived on an international flight from Uganda. She began exhibiting symptoms on October 7 and was admitted to a private hospital on October 11, where she was diagnosed. Health authorities have initiated contact tracing for 44 individuals identified as potentially exposed to the virus.
