This technique, known as 'pinching,' involves pruning the top of young marigold plants when they are about 6-8 inches tall. This encourages the plant to grow more branches, resulting in more flowers. It is advisable to perform pinching in the morning or evening using clean tools to prevent infection and promote bushier growth.
