IIT Aspirants Demand 3 Attempts for JEE-Advanced Exam
Hindustan Times · education
Over 12,000 IIT aspirants have petitioned the education ministry and Joint Admission Board to increase the number of attempts for JEE-Advanced from two to three. They also propose allowing these attempts over three consecutive years, instead of the current two-year limit. Students argue that current rules prevent capable candidates from securing admission due to health issues or emergencies affecting performance. They highlight an inconsistency with JEE-Main, which allows six attempts, and believe a third attempt would offer a fairer opportunity without altering competition levels.
