Sebi Allows SWP, STP Standing Instructions For Demat

Sebi has permitted standing instructions for Systematic Withdrawal Plans (SWP) and Systematic Transfer Plans (STP) for mutual fund units held in demat form. This move aims to simplify investment processes for mutual fund investors. The implementation will be phased, with unit-based transactions expected by January 2027 and amount-based transactions by April 2027, facilitated through depositories.

सेबी ने डीमैट फॉर्म में रखे म्यूचुअल फंड यूनिट्स के लिए सिस्टमैटिक विद्ड्रॉल प्लान (SWP) और सिस्टमैटिक ट्रांसफर प्लान (STP) में स्टैंडिंग इंस्ट्रक्शन्स की इजाज़त दे दी है। इससे म्यूचुअल फंड निवेशकों के लिए निवेश प्रक्रिया आसान हो जाएगी। यह धीरे-धीरे लागू होगा, जिसमें यूनिट-आधारित ट्रांजैक्शन जनवरी 2027 तक और राशि-आधारित ट्रांजैक्शन अप्रैल 2027 तक डिपॉजिटरीज़ के ज़रिए हो सकेंगे।
