Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has strongly criticized Babar Azam's leadership during the recent England tour, where Pakistan suffered a 3-0 whitewash. Akram questioned Azam's awareness of significant team changes, asking if he was merely present to "sell chickpeas." He suggested Azam should have relinquished captaincy after the second Test and played as a regular player. This criticism comes after Azam's reappointment as Test captain in July, following a mixed record in previous tours.
