Shraddha Dubey, girlfriend of deceased businessman Shiva Sharma, has stated that he committed suicide due to a debt of ₹15-20 lakh. She claims she witnessed him jump from a balcony and has no involvement in his death. Dubey stated that Sharma was distressed about his financial situation and had spoken of suicide previously. She appealed to the media to refrain from spreading baseless murder accusations against her. Dubey also threatened to commit suicide herself if harassment continues.

दिवंगत व्यवसायी शिव शर्मा की प्रेमिका श्रद्धा दुबे ने कहा है कि उसने ₹15-20 लाख के कर्ज के कारण आत्महत्या कर ली। उसने दावा किया कि उसने उसे बालकनी से कूदते देखा और उसकी मौत में उसकी कोई भूमिका नहीं है। दुबे ने कहा कि शर्मा अपनी वित्तीय स्थिति को लेकर परेशान थे और उन्होंने पहले भी आत्महत्या की बात कही थी। उसने मीडिया से उस पर झूठे हत्या के आरोप फैलाने से बचने की अपील की। दुबे ने यह भी धमकी दी कि अगर उत्पीड़न जारी रहा तो वह खुद आत्महत्या कर लेगी।
